Serial Numbers and Production Sequence
« on: June 02, 2018, 03:35:22 AM »
Recently purchased a 1978 CB750F3 and was wondering if anyone can inform me as to the relationship between frame serial number and actual production sequence. In other words, which of the numbers contained in 2200001 relate to actual production? Mine is 2252658. I know 18,400 (rounded) were made, so how do I interpret my number as to build sequence? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

The numbers were sequential from 1 BUT the F3 (never seen in UK) was just a continuation of the F2 so it may be that the numbers carry on from that one, when I find my ID book I will check for you
