Thanks everyone for the kind words. A pic of my wifes newest boy. This is Elliott, he's 5 and a knucklehead. Another 5 or 6yrs and he'll be a good horse.

Don't fall for it bro.. You know it's not like getting a new house cat or something. Cubic dollars go in the front and you know what comes out the back.

p.s. I'm really sorry for your loss, it's always hard to have to put an animal down. They become family and they grow old so quickly..
peace

I have a 55 gal. glass, 40 Gal. acrylic, 2 20 gal. glass, 55 has south african's in it Yellow Labs. the 40 has about 35 baby kribs with about 20 of them being there older siblings. I have about 12 more to get out of a 20 upstairs with my breeding pair and put in the 40. There at it again, so I think alot more kribs on the way. I think I'll keep what I have for yellows in the 55 and if any little ones live well good for them. :)
The other 20 has some tetras in it nothing to fancy.

This is Elvis. She belongs to my sister and I.
She is three years old and we got her from Homeward Bound. She was rescued from a puppy mill where she was found eating rocks and siding. She weighs about 29 pounds that is why she has the sweater on. She can't take the cold. We call her Elvis because her jaw developed at different rates and her toung sticks out of the side of her mouth and makes her lip curl, like Elvis. She is a pure bread boxer.

Great job on the rescue.  Those puppy mill people need a bullet in their head.

KottkeHead, my heart goes out to you. It's a hard thing when a furry pal passes. Even when it's the right and merciful thing to do.

Caaveman, kudos again on the rescue!

We used to have a cat and we often wondered who would win.  That gray certainly has some bone crunching bite power.... loves me to death but to others she's.... let's say... a bit cold.  Has made many people bleed and I'm thinking she was just toying with them.  Flesh removal is certainly possible and bone breakage in fingers is optional.

I hate the part of letting them go! I swear not getting a new one every time but can't stand beeing without a dog (or a pet in general).

Couldn't resist this. Just got it from our friends who visited us this past summer and took a picture of Toby, our 4th Bernese. Lovely breed, wonderful nature but sadly don't last very long. Our previous 3 only lasted between 5 and 8 years.
