these our my families two pound puppies.  Sam, the black lab is a genuine weenie, but a sweetheart.  Tilly, jack russell, has about the same energy as a small sun, ALWAYS playing!  about 2 months ago, she discovered Sam has a tail, and so shes constantly leaping through the air trying to bite it!!  when they play in the backyard, it's quite relieving, and entertaining!!  the last picture is what i look down to every morning while eating my bowl of cinnamon toast crunch.  note Tilly's posture, haha  Sam finishes up most of the bowl of milk, and Tilly gets to lick it clean.  i love these dogs!

I got him for Scarlet, she loves him. I went grocery shopping yesterday and when I came in and he saw all the bags and heard them as I was putting the food away he stood up in his cage and peered out at me and whistled. When I looked up at him he started hopping around so I gave him a baby carrot and he destroyed it, it was awesome!

ALL labs are total weenies, nothing edible and lots of inedible things are safe around a lab  :P

this one will eat anything!!  her nickname from my dad is garbage gut, because she NEVER gets sick after eating whatever!!  my old yellow lab we used to have when i was a kid was a lot more defensive of me and my parents, and when she barked, other people and dogs would pay attention!!  sam was a pound puppy, and we're sure she was abused for awhile before she went to the pound, as we got her when she was about 2, that was 6 years ago.  she was also kept in the pound for almost 8 months, through a glitch, and she had to stay in that white tile cell the whole time.  then we came along and fell in love with her curled tail and golden eyes!  it took about 8 months of her running off before she realized where her meals came from and where she got to sleep each night, haha!  she used to be fast as anything, but no shes just a lard butt!   ;D

wow, he's huge! got to watch that weight, a cat being that fat can cause big time problems. i lost my tortie berlios in 2008 to kidney and liver failure. she was 28.5 pounds before she got sick, 9 pounds when i had to have her put down. the kidneys especially get over stressed. not trying to be a dickhead, i just hate to think of another person owned by a cat having to go through what i did.  the vet said some kitties are just pre-disposed to be fat. he IS a cutie though, i dont know where i'd be without my 6 furbabies.

i went out for oil and filter for the car and came upon a tiny (maybe 8 weeks old) tortie kitten on the side of a very busy 4 lane. i got her and took her for shots now she needs to find a good home since there is NO way in hell i can handle full grown cats and a very energetic kitten. named her Jenny, short for Jennyanydots. those of you that are fans of Andrew Lloyd Weber might recognize that name  :D

My neighbor across the street has a female torty just like her that's a couple years old and that little thing won't shut her mouth once you're within 10 feet of her.  Oh you want me to pet you, eh?  And you reach out to stroke her and she skitters off, just out of reach, meowing some more.  I call her Loudmouth.

We got a Guinea Pig on Saturday. His name is Caribou. He is rad.

My wife picked up a guinea pig awhile back that needed a home.  Her name is Florinda.  My calico cat likes to pick on her and the "hog", as I call her, finally decided to fight back.  The other night wile we were sitting on the couch we had the hog between us on her towel as we often do while watching a DVD and the calico jumped up to pick on her.  Well the hog jumped at the cat and gave her a nip and the cat was so surprised she jumped down.
Like Kit said in her post they do make some cool cooing sounds when you pet them.  We often let her run loose on the deck but recently she has taken to jumping down two feet to the ground and goes under the deck forcing me to crawl after her when it's time to come in. ;D

Speaking of pets, there's often stories in the local news about dog attacks on peoples pets. I remember one sad story about 2 pet sheep being mauled so bad they had to be put down.
There was a lighter note in the story that made me smile all the same. The sheep's names were Briggs & Stratton, the most popular engine used in ride-on mowers.
Last year I joined a support group for procrastinators.
We haven't met yet.
