1974 CB750 Offset sprocket Issue
« on: June 14, 2018, 06:26:24 PM »
Hey guys,

I got a rear and front sprocket spacer on my CB750K to run a wider rim and tire. When I go to put the bolts on the studs are too short after the spacer is on. Anybody ever encounter this? If so, what’s the remedy ?

No room for the washers, and hardly enough for the bolts to catch. I clearly can’t ride like this.

Longer studs but I am not sure if they thread in.

What 754 said ^^^ definitely the easiest way to go if the studs can be replaced with longer ones.
If not would it help/be possible to change the offset of the rim (enough to fix the problem while keeping the rim centered in the swingarm) by loosening then re-tightening the spokes so the sprocket side of the hub was farther to the left?? That may create clearance issues with the brake rod or other stuff!?!?

So I can pop these studs out and re feed longer once from like ace hardware? I didn’t know they came out.

Pull it off and have a look, not sure what holds them in.

You can also buy a rear sprocket with a dish to it so that spacers are not required.
