Rocking-M.
« on: June 10, 2018, 06:13:27 AM »
Robert McNabb (Rocking-M) has not been active since he lost his friend Uncle Ernie a few years back.
What a night I had when he turned up on my door step yesterday.
We first met in 2008 when he joined myself and Dusterdude at Piedmont Drag strip where I was racing Dusters
F3 600 CBR Honda.
Robert had crashed his Ducati by hitting a deer out in the Blue Ridge Mountains where he lives in West Virginia.
We found some of the parts he needed to repair it and I brought them with me as I was visiting family close to where he lived.
It was great to see him after all these years.
Here's a pic of meeting last night and one of the 1st time we met with Rob still on crutches after his deer hit.

He's a real hard working cowboy Frank, just look at the muscles in his fore arms.
And he does use horses in his work, hahaha.

Ain't it great when old buds drop by?

He had been on a tour of Scotland where his ancestors were from and called in on me on his return to the south of England where he was staying when not touring, and yes, it was nice to see him again.
He was quite an active member of the forum some years ago.

I am glad to see Rob is OK.  He was always a fun on here and a straight shooter. You are very lucky to spend some time with him.

That is great to know that Rob is doing well. We all go through changes, over the years, with the losses and things happening in our lives and I sure am glad that I checked in (Something told me to) and saw this post & Thank you to You Too, Sam, for brining it about.  ;)

Thank you, Bobby. Always good to make contact with you all. Never regretted joining up here, with you all, back way back in Dec of 2005. Was like getting a whole New Family. I have been back a few times, always with the intentions of being around more and getting involved more too. Then, things happen, I get distracted and time flies. Hoping to give it a shot AGAIN, to be here though, always some pretty interesting builds going on and never know what is gonna come up for discussion on here either.  ;)  Take care Bobby.  :)
