Earlier 75 F according to the gauges and the nylon cup rear master. I'd call it a mongrel. All we need are serial numbers for verification.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

That seat looks a little like a 550F seat, the way the cut at the rear turns up.

Get the numbers, motor should be silver, check for chain damage and water in engine.

Thought "f" model shifters were flat too.

Could be a k engine. Gonna check those digits tomorrow morning. May be a frankenbike! I have love for frankenbike's :-)

A running engine.
 A decent F tank.
Frame with reggie...... that is worth 5 if you want an early F, even with a k motor in it.
 Roller..bonus..

That is the stock 75f seat, it just does not have the cowl attached.  Has a 77/78 tank...$500? I would have already bought it.  He got a title?

Yep- guy said it was a stock seat too. Guess I am just unfamiliar with early f seats...looks to be in vg condition.

That's a 77 or 78 tank, but if its rust free is almost worth $500 by itself.

if it's obviously a frankenbike the clock at 6k could be from another bike.

Could be- sure.
Generally 6k bikes dont get parted up to lend themselves to a franken build in my experience. Few sohc hondas I have seen with that low of mileage were pretty unmolested.
We'll have a look and see in a few hours .

Seat looks too fluffy. Recovered? The engine, whatever it is, has been removed to, at least, install the chrome valve cover and paint. Since it's been out of "A" bike it may have goodies in it.

Here’s an unrestored 75 f for comparison....the seat certainly looks different ,and doesn’t meet the tank right, too big of a gap....

Just got in. Well some ups and downs..... Has a k engine for starters...runs great. Rear caliper is frozen. Stock seat has been recovered. All take offs present. The bad...frame was cut for that chrome valve covwr instal Id guess... Has title from 1983 but missing the notory signature. Prolly wont matter in states like South Carolina Id guess were they dont require a notory anyway . new battery new rear shocks.
Biggest buzzkill was the frame and the non F engine. Might part it. Tank is as clean as new inside and minus a clear coat bubble looks pretty good. All may be up for grabs gonna sleep on it.

And this was due to the hinge pins being removed . it was just kinda propped up there at some weird angle.
The blue bike is nice!

How can you tell it's not a F engine? They look identical. What's the serial number?

Did they save the piece that was cut out? Depending on where the tubes were cut, a weld-less frame kit may be in order. ;)

Been down this road before a few years ago.
