Unfortunately, that's not mine. They want $5600 for the kit, about what you can buy a leftover 2014 CB1100 for these days. I'm thinking about buying one.... (the bike, not the kit)

Add the 4/4 exhaust and you’re near 8 thowwwzend dollars for this kit.
But I completely agree with the notion, that if Honda had engineered the 1100 to look like this picture from square one, headlight to taillight, it would have been a sweet seller for the Honda line.

Engine mods available?  The power is not that much for a 1100cc.  Many modified CB750's  have more hp on the wheel than the new CB1100 has on the crank.

Around 100 rwhp would be OK. Cams that reduce power or something simple to correct?

You can buy a new leftover 2014 CB1100 for about $6K. It's a heck of a lot of bike for the money. And it ain't just about HP right?

It has less than 90 crank hp. That's too lame! It's a pity that there are no quick engine power-up mods.
Kawasaki Z900RS  has 111 hp which is better. 21 hp more will be noticed.

$5,600 doesn't seem like that much when you start to break it down.  Making all the parts from the tank to the side covers, headlight and ears, turn signals, reflectors, fenders, pipes (added expense) paint alone would cost a couple grand.  Starts to sound like a bargain.  That bike is beautiful in it's finished state.

A company in Japan also makes kits that turn the CB1100 into a CB1100R look-alike. The painted kit is over 7,000

From the looks of the new Monkey and Cub, they do know how to make a retro bike that looks much like the original.
Maybe they'll come out with a CB1100 that looks just like the kitted bike.   That would revive the CB1100 sales.

Yes, and the Z900RS has a modern mono shock suspension too.   It certainly is a far-better bike for sport riding.
I think Kawasaki nailed it with the perfect retro-ish bike that is still a modern bike.

Like the Moto Guzzi V7, the CB1100 staid truer to form with a non-inverted fork, and twin shock suspension.    Also, the CB1100 is tuned for torque, and is a great machine to ride on the street, with all the torque were you need it for every day riding.   The V7 has that great 90-degree V-twin sound and is shaft drive.   Sure, it is only 50 HP, but, it is still a helluva lot of fun to ride on the street.

All three are great bikes, all just a little different.  Choice is a wonderful thing.   Pick the one you like most, buy it, ride it, and smile!

I have no problem with the old style of the suspension. The body kits that are available as aftermarket AND more power in the engine should make this bike to one I should dream about to have. Today not.
I'll rather use my CB750 and dream about a Kawasaki z1-900 73---  or a 1000 1977
