main jet o-ring supplier?
« on: January 15, 2007, 06:08:41 PM »
I searched the posts and found in the carb faq the sizing for the main jet o-ring seal. I have looked on the web and locally but have not found anyone who can supply the o-rings without ordering 50+. What I saw on the faq was that the o-ring was 3.5mm ID with 1.2mm CS.
Local Honda dealership sells the seal kit for each carb at $12 each, I don't need all the seals right now though and I think I have seen complete rebuild kits for not much more than that.

76 550F
069A carbs
98 main jets

Anyone know if i can get just the o-ring in a small quanity??

Thanks

There is a guy on the thegsresources.com message board who sells kits for the Suzuki GS bikes. Try there.

I can provide them, as well as the float seat O-rings, drain screw rings, cord stock for the bowl joint, fuel tee rings, etc.

Honestly, I'd bite the bullet and buy the whole set. All I needed was the float needle and bowl gaskets, but ended up rebuilding all of 'em while the carbs were off. You'll need 'em all sooner or later.

I just got a set from Kevin for my 500 and it worked great. I had searched high and low to find o-rings to work off-the-shelf, but nothing really worked well for the press-in jets. Plus, for just the cost of the o-rings, which is all I needed, I was able to save plenty of beer money. Best
