Good localtime SOHC4 owners,
I have a CB500 K2 that I've completed rewired, and went through what I thought would be a final testing run last night (also rebuilt carbs) only to find that everything is working, except my rear turn signals are constantly lit (I do not have front turn signals installed, rears do flash when turn signal switch is used), and they got so hot the glass on the bulb melted and started smoking.
These are aftermarket turn signals, though they simply replaced the same aftermarket turn signals which were scratched up. (

My assumption for now is that those were melting because they aren't supposed to be on all the time, (just when flashing). Is that correct? I've seen on a couple of forum post that if you pull the winker then the lights should not even have power .... is this correct? Are they signals and running lights?
Thanks in advance for you help.
