CB400F Front brake grabby
« on: June 23, 2018, 06:29:29 AM »
Looking through previous owners MOT documentents I saw an advisory to one saying the front brake is a bit grabby...it still is. Why would this be happening?
I brake for animals!

Put a chamfer on the leading edge of the pads

Caliper piston is dirty or gummed up. Need to pull the caliper and clean it.

Also if your caliper is painted make sure to buy a bleeder kit from 4into1 or buy some clear tubing and use a cup to bleed the caliper and master cylinder. If you set the tube in a cup with a little fresh break fluid in the bottom it should help with bleeding the whole line.
