What bike is this exhaust off of?
« on: January 10, 2007, 03:14:42 AM »
I picked up a couple CB650 parts bikes and have used them to build 1 nice bike. But this is the exhaust that was included, and it is NOT a cb650 exhaust. The exhaust port mounts are not the same 'shim' style as the cb650 and the headers seem like they might be slightly small in diameter. I was thinking it might be a late model CB350 exhaust, I think they came in this style.

Anyone recognize them? (Also, I don't need them, so if you want them I'll give you a great bargain.)

Also, it's good to be back on this board. I was a member years ago when it was the old, less sophisticated site - glad I'm back.

I think he was talking about the boards themselves and not us as users. I think we're still safe.   ;D

As for the pipes, I would agree that they are probably for a 500/550. Looks like they should clean up pretty well.

Haha, yes, I was saying the old board (greenspun) was less sophisticated. This forum is much nicer and more functional.

Thanks for the fast responses guys! 500/550 Jardine turnout pipes from the 70's - got it!

Anyone want them? I don't have any use for them. They should clean up to be ok. The bottoms of the mufflers are pretty rusty, but there is no rot anywhere, the headers are in good shape. If no one her wants them I'll just toss them up on eBay with a big question mark in the listing.
