Topic: distance between handlebar clamp bolts? cb750k

hello,
just a quick question, what's the distance between the handlebar clamp bolts on a cb750k.  i need a set of bar-backs for my latest project ( 79 gs750 ) and wondering if a honda set would fit, as they're easier to come by.

ctr to ctr on the GS is 35mm, wondering if someone measure their cb750 distance?

Got a tape ? 1 3/8 is within 3 thousandth of an inch from 35 mm.....thickness of a hair.

 So like I said measure your Honda  clamp, or do you not have  a Honda ?

second sentence, my latest project is a 79 suzuki GS750.  parts and mods are more plentiful for hondas.  : )

The Honda centerline is a bit narrower averaging 32.5mm after measuring a few clamps.
I would guess the nominal designed number is 32mm and that they float some with manufacturing and/or casting tolerances.

I too got 32. 5  mm.
 So if you have an endmill and drill press and were carefull, you could probably move the holes  over 50 thou each hole. That is if you got tgd bsrbacks with clamps. No clamps m you would then have to don't he clamps too.
