Yes, no problem try to find the "6:th gear." I do that all the time! No luck so far ;)

About ZDDP additive... I used that once but read the label afterwards wich made me to do a quick oil change and one more shortly after. The additive had antifriction stuff, Moly.... That one was made for cars.
Use an oil with plenty of zinc from the begining as Hondaman wrote. It is worth an extra oil change. I can find neutral when engine is hot and bike standing still, before I had to find neutral from 2:nd gear and still rolling.
I'm sure that another oil change will improve even more so my engine has mostly Red Line 20W-50 motorcycle oil with high content of zinc and phosporous. I think it takes  at least 2 oil changes to get rid of the previous oil. Dry CB750 need 3.5L oil, an oil change need 2.5L, sometimes only 2.4L.  I have to build my K2 stock bike and try Spectro Heavy Duty 20W-50 mineral in it, also a lot of the good stuff in it. Interesting to compare oil temp in tanks as well. My K6 runs rather warm.

Normal shifter behavior for these bikes.
