Topic: Alternative Rotor Bolt for CB750

[Old Scrambler]

We milled the rotor on my Salt Flats motor to use as a retainer to keep the starter gear intact. We have no shortened the retainer to within a few threads of the crank-end. Would like to locate a bolt with more threads toward the head as a replacement. Any suggestions?  I will check my CB & CL 77 parts bin.........maybe CB340-450?

Are you going to have enough threads in the end of the rotor to use a puller if you ever need to remove it??

Make a bolt on the lathe.

Made a grove in the collar for a steering-wheel puller if the conventional one fails............and yes, Dave is making a bolt this evening with that special fine thread..............thanks for the thoughts
