New member, old bike
« on: July 01, 2018, 09:25:11 PM »
I was debating a new vs vintage bike for my daily and settled on a '73 CB500, so here I am.

New plugs, fuel lines, air filter, a petcock rebuild, carb pull off and jet cleaning, and a lot of patience later I have an engine that happily starts and runs. I'm still debating a full restoration or something down the lines of a bratstyle build, but for now am just enjoying it and appreciating how well Honda made motorcycles 40 years ago.

I look forward to participating and being a part of this community, and thanks in advance for your help troubleshooting the quirks I'm sure to find. In you and Clymer I trust.

Welcome from MN,

Getting the bike running first was a wise decision.
