Stolen Bike in Seattle
« on: January 12, 2007, 09:17:25 AM »
This is not my bike, but I saw this on Craig's list, and thought I would post it here just so any forum members in Seattle can keep their eyes open.

STOLEN: 1974 Honda CB 450 -$$ REWARD $$

Please help!

This bike was stolen from the south end of West Seattle, at the intersection of 104th & 35th Ave S.W., sometime during the late night or early morning of Jan 10th/11th.
I was forced to park it 4 blocks from home on the evening of Jan 10th, due to the snow fall, and when I returned in the morning it was gone!

I can’t imagine these people trying to sell the whole bike, but, if you, or someone you know is looking for parts please be aware!

Any information leading to the recovery of this bike would be gratefully appreciated and rewarded $!

Please call - Matt: 206-356-1254

Thats the sad state of things. our style bikes are coming back cause everyone is getting tired of the cruiser/chopper #$%* and are looking for something new.  No one cares what chopper you ride or how much you spent on your cruiser. Rockets dont get the attention they used to not even if you say your is the fastest made.  things are going back to vintage looks or even vintage bikes.

Definitely a pisser.  I feel bad for the guy, especially since the bike looks like it is great shape.  It's sad to think it would be parted-out.  You are right about vintage being hot though.  I was walking near my house and saw a flier on a telephone pole offering a reward for the return of a couple of stolen 1970s Puch Maxi mopeds.  People want "cool"

well rides like ours are always cool. You cant duplicate them. You can deplicate and cruiser or chopper. Most people are starting to see this.

If he had to park it 4 blocks away, I'm thinking that maybe the police had it towed, and it's sitting in their impound area and the desk doesn't even know it.

Glad to say that the bike was found.  Apparently it was taken for a joyride by some kids, and dumped under a tree a few blocks away.  No major damage according to the owner.

Ugh, kids...

I still vividly remember the morning I came out of the apartment to find my bike dumped on its' side in the parking lot lying in a puddle of oil and gas.  I honestly know if I had seen them do it I would have broken their heads open.  Scares me a little, actually.
