Nice looking HD.  Not so much my cup of tea, but it looks great.  I wouldn't mind having a longer range bike like a R1200GS or Multistrada some day.

I chatted with a guy in Sturgis for a bit who was on an adventure bike, don't remember what it was, but it had a lot of ground clearance.  He had it loaded down with various storage bags and cases.  I commented that it looked really top heavy.  His replied that is was, "reeeeeally top heavy".  I'm gonna guess and say it probably weighed close to my Road King.  I would think at some point all that weight on a bike like that would take the fun out of it, especially if you're going to be hitting a lot of dirt roads.

I was in that same spot in 2011, but I can't remember the exact date and time.  The photographer's website has pics going back that far.  I'm going to see if I can find a pic of myself from that year.  I was on my bobber, but it looked different than it does now.

I’ve got two CB750’s (one in pieces), one Harley and one aftermarket Harley-based custom, so I’m at 50% Honda.

Even with full bags, I doubt the Multistrada weighed close to your Road King.

Ducati Multistrada 1200 - 417 lbs Dry; 527 Wet

All good bikes.  Just made for different things.

Yeah, the looks of some bikes can be deceptive, my 2001 Yamaha FJR1300 (without all the fruit that came with the later models) weighs 522 pounds, (dry)

Whereas my 1995 BMW R1100GS weighs 536 pounds, but if anyone asked me, I would have assumed that the Yamaha would have been way heavier! Luckily both of them carry their weight down low, so both are easy bikes to ride. ;D
