CruzinImage Shipping
« on: August 20, 2018, 10:35:06 AM »
What kind of time frame has it taken to get your items from Cruzin to the States?

I ordered a set of carb boots off EBay. Never showed up after a month. He was pleasant to deal with but I was cautious as I didn't want to get the CruzinBoot  ::). He said he tried to track without success and apologized for the inconvenience and I replied with a thanks and even gave him a good review. When I tried to reorder since it showed he had 6 sets left, he had given me that infamous CruzinBoot as a buyer. I asked a buddy here to order a set and I'm once again waiting going on 2 weeks this time. I can get a set here in the US for twice as much but I am a cheaper fukr and trying to avoid that  ;)
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

You could still get a refund on the lost set by dealing directly with ebay and the shipping company.

Fwiw, had a problem with piston rings for the ascot vt500ft.  Would fully expect a cruizinboot for sayin that.

I failed to mention that in addition to his courteous apology he did issue a refund.

You went with C.I.'s carb boots after Pewe's review?  ???  ???  ???  Barely 1000 miles and they were falling apart:

From what I've been told all the aftermarket have one source. I'm using them, at the least, for fitment and testing of the Webers +1mm like the PD carbs and I THINK they are shorter too. I am a disadvantage for space. Do you have a NOS K7/K8 original set you'd be willing to sell (or loan) for a price close to CI's $50?  ;) Once it's set up that may be a different story. Perhaps the K7/K8 will be a different situation than PeWe's earlier K boots?? I have a good set of earlier K/F boots but I'm experimenting  ;D

Any CI shipping times guys?

No, no OEM boots for the K7/K8 here. I am using Vintage CB750's K8 boots and have got a couple thousand miles and a couple years use so far. Not so sure about the "one source" for the carb boots though. I know many vendors use a common source for many products, and I am using C.I.'s 836 pistons in my dragbike right now, but I'm done with C.I.. I bought a set of float needles (rubber tipped for the K8) with bowl gaskets from them which promptly turned to goo within one week of exposure to 10% ethanol laced fuel.  :(

Yeah, Vintage has them in stock at $100. My reputable source was Kenny who says they are all one source. That's my next option if the CI ones don't show up again. Even if I have to pay double they are in stock. sigh.... savin a buck for an experiment. Otherwise I won't need them.

What about Klaus studio,  they make all kinds of rubber do-hickies, don't know about their prices though.
