Hi,

I’ve got a recently purchased 78 CB750K, that has a hesitation between 4-5k rpms in predominantly in 5th, Under 4 and over 5, things are good.
Since purchasing the bike I’ve cleaned and sealed the tank, installed an in-line fuel filter, changed plugs & air filter.  I’ve got more maintenance items to do, but was hoping the plugs and filter might have had a positive effect.
Am I dealing with a fuel, air, or ignition issue? Why only in a certain range/load?

i have that slight issue between 4 and 5k.  i think it's fairly common.  maybe someone else will disagree or have a fix for it.  if your tank is clean and you have the in-tank sleeve filter you could probably lose the inline filter.  those have been known to cause issues.
