Custom Tree Offset Recs.
« on: July 15, 2018, 02:52:40 pm »
Hello All.

I'm looking to make my own triple trees / stem for primarily weight and aesthetic reasons.

And while I'm at it - curious if there's any recommendable offset changes I should make.

To note - bike has 18 inch front and rear, stock conventional forks with racetech gold valves, ikon rear suspension on a 77K swing arm.

Stock offset is probably fine - but was curious what all of you have for input. And if there's some triples I should reference for aesthetics, not planning on a simple water jet job.

Cheers,

Dunc

Check trail and shoot for about 95mm as the bike sits.
All you gotta do is do what you gotta do.

Was hoping you'd chime - referencing a lot of your build.

Is 95mm the sweet spot you've found?

It's what I'm running and what many more modern sport bikes run. It's considered a close to perfect number.

Close to perfect sounds good enough!

Bike will be a roller in the next few weeks. Will be able to take measurements then and get to CAD.
