Is anyone familiar with CL350s?
« on: July 23, 2018, 11:40:08 AM »
Does anyone know any common faults with these? I guy I know picked up a load of bikes at an estate sale and one of them is a fairly tidy looking, stock and original, CL350. I gather he is thinking of selling most of them on swiftly, including this one, and it might be of interest to me (if it's cheap enough).  However,  he said that it does not have any compression. Any thoughts as to what the cause may be? It doesn't look like it's stood for many years & would have valves rusted open, I'm wondering if they are prone to other problems- maybe it could even be a broken kickstart mech...

Let him know you’re interested in it, then check it out yourself. Not to question your friends diagnosis, but there are times when someone’s description doesn’t represent the true facts. And, if it’s a stuck motor or indeed has low or no compression, there’s your bargaining chip if everything else is on the bike and it looks a like good worthwhile project (and you’re willing) and like you said, if it’s cheap enough.

Good luck, and get us some pics if you pull the trigger on it.
