Wide rims on CB 750
« on: July 24, 2018, 08:38:11 PM »
 I have a 4 1/4 wide rim , plan on running 150/18 on it.
With a black F motor  long shaft.. I am thinking it would just fit with regular sprockets. ....maybe 520 chain.
Anyone here try this combination ?

I also have a few 5.5 inch rims. I was thinking  long shaft with offsett sprocket, might just might work.
Has anyone tried  it ? It would be in a custom frame, so I dont expect the frame tubes to be too close to the chain. On stock feames, it could be an issue.  Any thoughts ?

I don't know about using the longer shaft... didn't know that was a thing. But to get a 150/70/18 on my cb750 it took a 3/8 spacer in back and offset sprocket in front  to clear the tire... hope that helps a lil.
