1971 CB500K0 New project (Melted wiring) HELP!
« on: July 28, 2018, 01:11:36 PM »
Hey guys

Picked up a new project bike is in great cosmetic condition,
seems like the battery was connected backwards...

Grounds melted on sub harness and main

with postive (red) wire melted to resistor.

What else do you think could have burnt up?

Fuse intact.....?

probably the rectifier...they sometimes survive if just hooked up wrong for a second or 2...but with that much damage, it sounds like someone left it backwards for a while
If it works good, it looks good...
