Topic: Help! Desperately looking for Suzuki GSX-R 18" rim

Hi everyone,

so as the title of the topic goes, I'm looking for the rims of a Suzuki GSX-R 1100 or 750 rims.
They need to be the 18" kind, so up to the 1987 model.
They are 3x18 front (or 2.75x18) and 4.5x18 rear (or 4.25x18).

I'm in a bitter confrontation with the Italian Motorcycle Federation, they claim I can't use the rim I have on the bike now because they are not the same (front comes from a Yamaha TDM 850 and rear from a Honda NSR250).
My point is that nowhere in the rulebook is written that the rims need to be identical (i.e. from the same bike) and there is at least other 4 team (in other classes, but they follow the same general rulebook) that are using different rims front/rear (most of them with exactly same front whee!).
They won't even explain why those people are allowed to race and I'm not :-(

The worst part is that I was having my best season so far, I was in second place after 3 races out of 5 :-(

I think that they won't tell me why I can't race while others can because they did a mistake to give them the race approval certificate, and now they are realizing this is spreading and want to end this. It sucks, I'm quite sad and demotivated TBH: I've been racing for the past 4 years (plus 4 more endurance races 8 years ago) and I'm a solid contributor to the industry; this treatment really leaves me speechless.

Total bullsh*t for sure. I get those guys being allowed to, and maybe let them run the season with that configuration, but don't allow them to be grandfathered in for eternity.

Let's see what happens next race, the officials told me they are going to check the issue during the inspections.
Too bad I will still lose a race, and basically the championship...

Yo, these what you want?  They came off early Gsxr,s but 4.00x18 and 250x18. I'd think that'd be wide enough? Let me know, got more pics. Thanks,  Bill

Mirko (messnermoto) was able to find those as well, but I think they are still too narrow for the tyre I'm using, I have to check

ric, i would rather use those early gsxr wheels and go for the narrower 100/130 contis if i was you.... my Gpz750/810 worked quite fine with them
