Well, I can't say anything that hasn't been said before. Great bike at a terrific price. So who says how much an old bike is worth? Probably the seller is thinking to himself: "what a moron, he bought the bike without even haggling around the price..."

Yours is pretty much like mine, also a red K1, but as you say, your bars are higher. It's true that CB350's had higher bars in the US than in Europe, because that was like the american tastes were running after the chopper scene, but I don't think that CB750 ever came with those bars. BTW, it even looks like you have the original bridgestones on!

I paid 1500 bucks for mine three years ago. Funny thing is that I was looking the classifieds trying to find something interesting, specially a Z1. Saw the advertising, phoned the guy and couldn't believe it was a K1. As I know how this things go I confirmed with the guy I was the first caller so I told him to let me be the first to see the bike. He agreed, I was there after lunch the same day, was struck by the appearance of the bike, tried to start it to no avail and struck a deal but I didn't have enough cash with me to make a down payment. It was friday and we agreed I will pay and pick up on monday. You can't imagine my suffering during the weekend, as I thought that if the guy received a lot of phone calls he would change up his mind and rise the price. I called him on saturday just to let him know everything was ok and I would be paying on monday -I just wanted to get a hint about what was the situation with the seller. Fortunately, everything turned out well but mine didn't have title either and it took me more than a year to have all the paperwork sorted out.

        Hey Raul,

                 Might have been a long drawn our process but, I'll bet it was worth it after it was done.
        Sure, we'd rather have the title in hand when purchased but, sometimes we can let it slide
        just to get our hands on that certain bike. And I'll bet you WERE antsy that weekend before
        going to get yours. I'll bet you didn't really relax until you got that sucker home. I was that way
        when I once saw a 62' Honda CL72 (that needed a total rebuild and restore) in our paper w/ a
        title for $250. I went to work on getting that bike picked up before someone else jumped on
         it. It was complete except for the gas tank emblems, the clutch and brakes levers. A lot to
         work to be done but, to me it was well worth it.

After Rocking-M was inquiring about where I lived and what guns I owned I figured I better bring her in the house. 

I was kinda surprised that the wife allowed it but when she said yes I didn't waste any time getting it in.  I figured that there might be a little leakage but even after a night in the house I see nothing. It got down to -15 degrees F last night and I figured she would be much more comfortable in the dining room.

I'll have to take a look at the tires. I do know that they are in nice shape without any cracking. But I guess at 4300 miles it is possible that they were never changed?

I have seen that info also. Only problem I can think of is that a tire from the 44th week in 1970 could have tha same number as a tire in the 44th week of 1990.

Yes, you are very possibly right. But, I am sure the model no. of the tire has changed in that time. So if you know when a certain model of tire was made, you could narrow the search down to that area and then look up the build no. to the tire as spider-man said.

I was under the impression that early 750's had lower bars compared to the like 73 to 76 models.
