72 cb750 cam and T mark
« on: August 12, 2018, 09:42:27 AM »
hi the cam is set to the t mark but after I rotate the engine so the cam marks line up the timing  line is past the t mark. I’m finishing a refresh , the cam chain is original and the double crank chain was in spec. Additionally when I rotate the engine to the t mark the cam is on the lines but not completely lined up. Should I be concerned about this?

Crank on T 1-4, and with original cam chain(tensioner fitted) the line as close to horizontal as possible. Don't forget crank turns twice for cam to turn once. Only with new chain will you get it horizontal
