I am having trouble sorting out the year of my CB350F
I believe it is 72/73, but which?
Frame CB350F 1024651, engine CB350FE 1028466
Are there build dates for these m/cycles?

build date should be on the ID plate on the steering head...Larry

Looks like I have to live with 72 - 73. I was hoping to narrow it down.

Baz, I have frame #CB350F-10314xx dated 10/72 if that helps narrow it down.  Interesting is that the motor is only 24 digits higher than the frame.

It’s registered as a ‘73 because it was sold and first plated that year.

In some cases the "build date" by itself will not tell you what year/model it is. For example, if the bike was built after September 1972, it would probably be a 1973 model. The missing VIN plate would solve the mystery, because Honda put "197x Model" on it.
Unfortunately, in most of the data available, Honda lumped the 1972 and 1973 models together. Only 1974 is identified separately.
