Did Sandcast and early KO have different E Starters ?

I have the electric start motor out of  #10,1++. ....and I got to say , it does look different.
 But I could not find any info.
 Anyway if someone has  to have, I may be persuaded.
 Will try to get a few pics.

hmmm, I have a no number replacement engine taken from a sandcast, and one from a diecast. I may need to check the starters.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

Casting is machined different on spline end, its a circle where the bolt goes in, most are a rectangle.
