PD46A disassemble
« on: August 15, 2018, 06:11:33 PM »
Time for some carb cleaning and also checking what kind of jets I have in there. Only problem is, how do I remove these two screws: https://imgur.com/a/wqb9rbs

Also if anyone is interested:

Main Jet: 100
Slow Jet: 42
Jet needle: E2350F & 2nd clip position.

Yeah, the one on the right is probably an allen wrench but it's stuck like hell. The one on the left is completely round so don't think an allen wrench would work.

The one on the left is a roll pin.....just knock it out with a punch if you must

The one on the right is a 3mm allen head....soak it with penetrating oil, make sure the hole is completely clean, apply some heat, apply some valve grinding compound to the end of the allen head wrench before inserting, and give it a quick turn counterclockwise

If that doesn't work, find some left hand drill bits and a new set screw

Thanks for the tip, Brewsky. Gonna buy the grinding compound and 3mm allen wrench.

I was going to say you may need some heat for the one on the right.  It may have locktite on it.
