Greetings from Finland
« on: August 22, 2018, 12:58:46 PM »
Hi everyone!

I'm Antti from Finland, I own a 1972 Honda CB 500 Four, which I restored almost in original condition. It's slightly Cafe'd. It took two years to get it back together. The engine was totally worn out and the cam shaft was seized after the oil channel was plugged. I still have some minor issues with the engine but been riding for two summers now. It was also upgraded with Henry Abe 600cc big bore set by some previous owner. The engine is probably swapped because it's '73 and the frame is '72.
I've been reading this forum since I bought the bike and it has been huge help.
Here's before and after -photos of my Honda.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

RAF122S, it's an old SITO 1218-set, I think some previous owner has modified them, because they are not so silent.
Here's an old video, carb adjustment was way too rich but you can hear the volume:

I think the stock set is much more silent :)
