Greetings From Canuckistan
« on: August 24, 2018, 11:20:44 AM »
My first bike was a 1977 CB360T which was quickly upgraded to a 1978 CB750F that was tweaked with an 833 big bore kit and all the fixings to make it a nearly 100 hp rocket.

Fast forwarding almost 30 years I am now the new owner of a 1978 CB750K, which was purchased with the fairing and bags new back in '78 or '79 and has since had some new paint, tyres, saddle cover, sprockets, and chain.

Am loving the K which I was not nearly as fond of when I rode that hod rodded CB750F, but the needs and wants of a person in their 50's is a little different than the speed freak I used to be.

She sure gets a lot of attention from the other old bikers I hang with, am a member of our vintage club here as well.

Welcome!

Nice looking bike.

Thanks, the previous owner's son is a pro painter who specializes in custom work and did the tank and side covers (which are from a '77).

Loving the Dunstall's too... such a lovely sounding bike.

Hi Keith, welcome, yes that's a nice tour setup you have there.

I liked Canadiana a whole lot better when gas prices were cheaper and the Brewers Retail had Cinci and Old Vienna. I could fill my gas tank at Sonny's, get a case of beer, pay the bridge tolls, and still be $$$ ahead! Nowadays the local Costco and  Meijers are full of Windsorarians putting a dent in our trade deficit. :) :) :)
But I will always be grateful to Canada for the loan of Gordie, Stevie Y, Shanny, Drapes, Malts, DMac, Scotty & Co.  :) :) :)

The original owner bought the bike from Honda with the fairing and bags and I won't be changing this, too many of these bikes get chopped and modded and it is nearly original to when it rolled out of the Honda shop 40 years ago.
