I had been looking around for a while for a 750...my 78 550k runs like a top but can be a little cramped after more than an hour in the saddle...I'm 6-4...saw this GS750E on craigslist at the end of july... one owner, ridden and serviced regularly, 29k miles, all original documents, service receipts, etc., original exhaust plus some dealer installed items like shoei fairing, oil cooler, and a tank from an 850 that holds one more gal. of gas than stock tank. Owner said it had only been out in the rain twice over 40 years. After 3 weeks it was still available, owner was retiring to FL and needed to sell. I read some very nice things about the early GS and figured I wouldn't be seeing any cb750s in this shape for this price anytime soon so now I have a stablemate for the 550k. Plan to get it registered this weekend and ride...will do basic maintenance this fall; brake lines and fluid, oil, fork oil, etc. I'm psyched!
