I think I may have some bent valves on my 72 cb500 I'll find out this weekend. The question I have is will a CB550 head and valve cover with rocker arms fit right in where the 500 Parts come out? I do not intend to change the Pistons or the cylinders.

In theory they should.
Practice is a different matter.

 They use the same head and valves. The '77-78 550 had pinned rocker shafts on the valve cover and that's considered an upgrade.
