Bought a new (to me) bike
« on: August 31, 2018, 10:32:43 PM »
Call me crazy but I just bought a new bike. It's a 1979 CBX. Still have my SOCH4 (CB400F) but I just couldn't resist  ;D Haven't taken delivery yet but can't wait! Definitely the biggest/baddest bike I've ever been on...

Really beautiful bike that most of us want in our garages! The sound is wonderful with really quick throttle response. They looked fine as they were delivered even back then when it was a must to upgrade and modify the CB750's and similar bikes that could not be stock.

congrats, that one is a beauty. I can still remember the thrill and sound of test riding a CBX after wrenching on one...Larry

Wow that looks great mate, enjoy! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Congrats!
It will require your attention! And you have to ride it regularly. CBXes don't take it well, when they are kept stored and only moved occasionally.
