Another CB750

Hi all found another 750 thats been in the shed awhile for sale today they are pretty hard to find over here so I jumped on it the data plate is missing but going on numbers frame 1015128 and engine 2520997  it appears to be late F0 or early F1 with a duel disk front end fitted tank is toast but rest looks OK few oil leaks and turns over ok 87,000klm on the clock . Home next week might see if she will start once cleaned out the carbs then put her in line behind the K7 that I am working on at the moment. Hope you have a nice day.

gday Dave good score,i think its pre 76 bikes have no plate in Australia,you just use the frame and engine numbers for rego,no vin plate,where in queensland are you im on the gold coast.

Hi live at Rubyvale 60klm out from Emerald but come down to Brisbane a bit for doctors stay at our daughters on the north side picked the bike up near Logan this morning thanks for the info on the data plate. Dave

The home trip on Wednesday is a 1000 km so plenty of tie downs is good. Looking forward to getting her to back to life no place for a good bike in a dark corner.

No risk that straps and ropes will scratch the paint, damage tank? A rope can vibrate paint away, cause dents.
I have transported my bike by attaching straps on frame only. Tight it hard so fork will dive. Bike on side stand, not possible to move forward-backward. Important that it can not jump so side stand will retract. For really long transport, make a wooden box around bike that keep it in position with bolstered areas against bike hard parts.

Hi PeWe thanks for the tips Complete new tiedown for 1000km home trip this was 80km pickup rope was just to stop seat and tank moving as seat has no latch  and tank rubbers are shot no problem with paint damage as all very poor back yard job.

Sweet bike, it looks like whoever had it made some tasteful mods. Those old drilled discs are pretty cool.

Hi Stev-o I will start one up in projects a bit later but at the moment just starting on the K7 when I get a bit further down the line with that I will make a start on the Bondage bike. Cheers.
