Insurance companies will drag out any payout in the hopes that frustration will coerce the recipient to take less that fair offer.  That way, they keep more of the money collected from permiums.

You WILL collect less if you insist on a quick settlement.  Be prepared to wait for months for a reasonable settlement.  It is the games they play to be profitable.

YOUR AGENT?So you have to supply Google pictures, what's up with that? Sounds like your agent is either a lazy ass or he/she isn't on your side. You might want to get another agent or go over their head.

Stay on top of what is going on with your case. Years ago I had AAAinsurance and let someone use my truck and it got BACKED INTO. I didn't find out until it was time to renew that i had been charged with a rear end collision, and I wasn't even in the vehicle. They wouldn't renew my policy and told me tuff s#!t.

I can understand the agent asking for The Photos From Google Maps You Sent To State Farm. They would not know what the "overside" has and they need to know to be able to argue for you...adjusters and your adjuster or lawyers if it comes to that. You can request Your Insurance pay for the needed repairs and then they have to Subrogate the claim to collect their money from SF.

Good luck getting this to a ~"positive" outcome.

My AAA insurance handler/agent Paul does not have the exact location of the accident as it was on  Foxen Canyon Road thats about 20 miles of twisty roads in wine country.. in the middle of nowhere, so i sent him the exact google link, that will give him some leverage against State Farm..... i forgot to say i only have liability insurance...... i know how the insurance work dragging things out..it shouldn't take long to get statements from other two cage drivers....plus my witness .. if anyone wants to look at the google road where accident was here it is...  7399 Foxen Canyon Road, Santa Maria C/A 93454 ..you can do a 180 and travel my direction i was going south right lane, coming through turn ranch road on right .. toyota owner lives there 20/25 yards ahead there they were blocking road chatting there heads off

I decided to get a generator cover e bay, cleaned it up and painted it...charging is ok..... insurance not decided who is at fault yet   >:( >:(  i got a letter Oct 9th off both State Farm and AAA saying this ...Review of evidence for liability determination ...    at this time i can ride and not let it sit in the garage. If i have to get estimate i can switch gen covers, found a right mirror in my parts bin of triumph  that will do for now until the claim settles...

Uksparky, claim what is fair. Do not believe for a minute that if you try to get 'extra', it will hurt the insurance company. You'll hurt the other premium payers. That's us.

Aren't you a clever dick? I mean it, well spotted of you that I'm not in the same country. Am I right to presume that by '#$%*ing' you mean 'where everybody is at each others throat'?
My personal experience is that on both occasions that I needed my insurance company, I was treated right not to say genereously. Watch it, Dave (and others), I'm taking notes, you know!  ;)

Look, on both occasions I got what I was entitled to. To receive more than I deserve, is not going to make me happy. If your advice is to live like a rodent (in all anonymity), others may not get what they deserve, because central is that nobody at the insurance company will ever eat one burger less, no matter the expenditures. Besides, what's wrong with having your damage paid and that's it? Nobody forces you to have an insurance with a company that is as bad as you describe. But to think that by paying you, they at the company will have less to eat, is a joke. Jeez, Dave, I can't believe I have to explain this.

Dave, don't feed the troll... When you stoop to a fool's level you only degrade yourself to their level. Too bad we don't have an ignore function.

UKSPARKY, time to get a better insurance company and take your business where you won't be screwed everytime you turn around...or bend over.  The least they could do is to pull your hair when they ride your backside.
