Is that a zinc oxidation?

I'm sure someone out there would reuse them. You should sell them on eBay. Where else can you find patina like that?!

Must've been owned by a navy shipyard worker.  Went overboard when told to "mothball" the vessel.

send them to me,
I'll throw them in my Ultrasonic cleaner and I bet they'll be good w/a couple of hours cleaning & new
gaskets, needles etc etc. Probably looking at $30+ / carb for parts.

I have cleaned carbs that had 1/4-1/2 inch of varnish in them, all passages blocked, etc.

If that's the cure, maybe I should spread some of it all over the top end :P
