M-Unit and M.Ride App Pairing
« on: September 02, 2018, 10:04:25 AM »
Hi SOHC/4,

I've worked through some of my latest ignition trouble. The bike started yesterday and is running great. However, I am trying to get the M-unit Blue synced with the M.Ride app on my iPhone7 and cannot get past step 3 of 3. It appears to be the last step before syncing the Bluetooth pairing.

The app asks that you press the starter button on the motorcycle for 10 sec until the blinkers come on alternately - then release the starter button. if no starter button been installed, the munit input START must be connected with vehicle ground for 10 sec.

I disconnected the start output so the bike doesn't try to turn over during this step.

After the 10 second hold I get nothing.

I disconnected the start button input then replaced it with a simple wire to ground and held that in place for 10 sec. Nothing.

I've reinstalled the app. Disconnected power and reconnected power to the munit. Deleted the bike profile and recreated the profile in the newly downloaded app. All suggestions by Motogadget. But still can't get past step 3 of 3 when it asks you to hold the starter switch for 10. Blinkers still won't flash. The munit works perfectly otherwise.

Has this happened to anyone else using the M-Unit Blue?

I  Don't have an M unit but I've done a lot of research. I thought the M unit was only in the android world. I'm gonna have to take another look at that. Keep us posted because I'm an Apple guy too.
