I need a little help with this seat
« on: September 04, 2018, 05:28:36 AM »
I recently had a dispute with a buyer over the color of this seat. The matter is resolved, but I'm just curious what the masses think, am I crazy or is he? So the question at hand, what color is this seat?

Could be a black seat with the picture taken in a room with a blue ceiling or maybe a "clean room" (paint booth) constructed of blue tarps off to the side out of view but providing enough reflection to provide a blue hue. It does appear to be blue in color though, especially since the blue hue does not carry over to other items in the picture..

Colorblind?

I thought about that, but if he thinks its black in the picture, wouldnt he think its black in person too? I was thinking hes most likely full of it, just changed his mind, and wanted to return without paying shipping. Or maybe his display on whatever device is serverly screwed up or has the brightness all the way down.im leaning towards full of it, though. I can tell from our brief back and forth that hes a liar.

Maybe not "screwed up" but different monitors and video cards can have more of a color shift than others. Did the description of the item indicate that the seat was blue?

There can be a color shift, but that is generally going to make a color look a different shade of the same color. Blue would maybe look lighter or darker or more green. Light blue to black? I dont think so. To answer your question, no, i did not mention color in the description. To me, it was more than obvious that the seat was blue. It didnt occur to me at the time that anyone would possibly not see it as blue. Thats my mistake and one i wont make in the future. That is also the reason i accepted the return losing the shipping cost both ways.

Probably for the best. Too bad we almost have to consult an attorney just to post a simple item for sale online.  :(
