This look right? I think I got it. Had to remove the valve cover to allow the cam a little wiggle room to fit the sprocket.

You will need to look at moving the cam chain adjuster in or out(you can fit a very small dia. metric allen bolt of proper length into the center of the cam chain tensioner rod while having the complete assembly fully seated into the case w/ just about a 1/3 turn loose on the 14mm hold-down bottom hex) to align the marks:then when you think you have it,start tightening the tensioner a bit,then check the marks again.That should be about in the right position,the way it looks from here.  :) Do your cam sprocket bolts still look ok to you? Sometimes the threads stretch a little when over-tightened:ask me how I know..  ::)

Okay awesome, I was thinking about how the tensioner might factor in to that. That totally makes sense. Thanks! I gotta let the valve cover gasket material set up overnight then tomorrow I'll tighten everything down and get that tensioner in the right place. I made sure to replace the o ring around the oil passage up the one rear head stud.

Interestingly enough the Vesrah gasket kit I got on eBay fit the Chinese cylinder better than the one that came with it haha! The holes lined up perfectly though and everything went on without a hitch. Had to gingerly tap the cylinder while holding the crank in order to seat the piston in there but it went in smooth and moves up and down nicely with the kick or moving the crank. Made sure to coat everything liberally with motor oil.

One thing I didn't do was bring the tensioner into play on assembly.

My little 100 seems to run ok, though.

Got the engine put back together! Was able to clean it off a little since it was fully together. Valve clearances are set too. Other than that I haven't made a ton of progress on anything as my little vacation from work last week ended.

The carb is rebuilt and set up to stock specs, gotta clean up the exhaust a little too before it goes back on. I also have to clean up the rear brake drum and sprocket. I'll be sure to keep updates coming as I go
