Frankey, labor of love, glad you had a vision and was bold enough to go for it! Digging the tank!

Ha! Thanks. I knew it was going to be nutty. My wife says “it is a bit much” so…..I know that I have a little bit more to do.

Too cold in the garage to work on the bike so just keep messing with the tank.

Bike needs wiring. Brakes and crabs….and…..everything else to be put back together.

It's got that East LA lowrider vibe going...
Remember bikes don't like to bounce, so no visions of bouncing suspension kits on the bike...

Plenty of YouTube videos out there to feed your passion if you need inspiration. Some true artistry and intricate attention to detail in Lowriders paint work...

It the details and visual feast and always finding something new when you look at a piece of art that keeps you coming back for more...
No one else's opinion really matters as this is being done or built for ourselves. Everyone else's appreciation is merely gravy.

I've seen more than a couple military display aircraft, USS Midway, that featured the markings of one pilot and crew they wished to pay tribute to on one side of the aircraft and then the other side featured a different pilot and crew.
Nothing to say you cannot have a split personality painted tank...
Just a matter of deciding where to make the split.

Even seen a few RC cars that the paint job used a tear away effect revealing a different scheme beneath with top peeling away. The 3D effect and skills to make it come alive are a bit more challenging.

I am just going to work in layers and see how it all ends up. Figure final touch would be to learn how to do pinstripes to clean up and make linework pop.

Thank you! I am putting the final clearcoat on it this week. Going to start messing with a seat cowl idea next.
