Looks like a early Honda V45 Magna front end.
Yeah! That is nuts right? Same as the one I got for my other 750 a few weeks back.

I believe I bought a seat and tank for my K8 from him if it's the same member, hasn't logged in since sometime in 2022... Glad to hear he's still with us.
Man, I remember that avatar! I think he is the one that let me borrow the first “F” covers for molding! (I messaged and went to pick up bike, he wasn’t there)

I am still here. I still have the bike in. Bits. Slowly putting it together. Just found an 81? Cb900 front end drops in quite nicely.

Did a quick mockup of the fairing. This is the first one I have made. Pretty rough. Going to make another using the correct materials. This one cost nothing.

I’d love to borrow one of those to try to make a mold to vacuum form a fairing from Kydex. I was googling about whether lexan could be vac formed and ran into the idea of using kydex, kydex workes great for holsters :-).

Engine is in. Just the pup and I in the shop. I was able to drop the frame down by myself, and first try it all just lined up.

I've been jonesing for some gold spokes on my Lesters. I have an unused set right now and a Henry Abe 16X5" disc brake rear. Something is gonna end up with a gold or bronze tint.

Yeah that dirty gold bronze look on a Lester is priceless. Whenever I go to a swap or bike show there always seems to be a raced out 2 stroke with some gold Lester wheels, snowflake, star…and I love it. Granted my wheels are just some run of the mill stock Honda, but it goes with my bikes feel.
Going for that “ridden hard and put away wet” look. Thinking bare metal tank showing all of the dents and previous bondo, brazing and rust patches.

Yes . Here is my tank. After sandblast. I am patching the doing an epoxy coating. Not going to hide too many imperfections.

How will you derust the inside before the epoxy liner goes in? Will you cut out the section of holes and brase in a patch so it holds liquid to derust it?
Mine already has a failed epoxy liner in it and lots of loose rust rattling inside.
