Yum. Not sure where to go from here. I am too cheap. Rebore and go big? Get a new head and stay stock? Pistons seem ok. Just get some new rings and go.

Pull the pistons and mic them for size. If good, clean them really well. Perhaps a rigid hone of the cylinders will get you by, new rings of course. If not, a rebore is in yuor future.

The head can likely be salvaged. Bead blast, mill it flat, lap some valves. As long as the guides are good, it’s pretty much just elbow grease with minor machining to make it right.

Found an 836 kit on eBay for $79. Pistons and rings. Boring would be another $200. I will try the elbow grease approach first.

I'd avoid the high cost of boring if possible, you already have a go-fast Kawi.  Hopefully hone and re-ring and salvage the head with a little work as Cal suggested.

The head will likely need guides and seals.............but all else can be 'cleaned up' ;)
The F2-3 header is unique and usually available on ebay.............I have two units that need some repair..........aftermarket can will fit.

Haven’t touched the bike in a while. Still apart. I have been picking up parts and working on ideas along the way.
I really wanted one of those aluminum cafe tanks from India on eBay. But am now thinking more like a cut and widened Honda S90 tank.

Longest bike build in history. Just putting things next to parts. Motor is done. Need to fit these other bits together. Seems like I spend 45 minutes a year on this bike.

New CB750 K5 Planet Blue, demise by ex cousin in law at 9,000 miles...
New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and have missed it greatly.....
