If your mom was your cousin's grandfather; your uncle was your nephew's nephew; your biological son is three years older than you are;  but your brother's wife's father-in-law is not married to the same brother's mother-in-law; and your father's brother is neither your uncle nor your best friend, what does that make you to your paternal grandfather's wife?

Lately, it has occurred to me that there are one or two members who are without shame with regard to submitting posts merely to increase their post counts.  While the rest of us remain without shame in other matters, you know who you are.  With that in mind, I've created this thread where everyone can post to their wee hearts content.  The benefits are multitudinous, not to mention nefarious:

  • Members need not read existing posts to find ones that allow an easy post of assent.
  • Pointlessness could be encouraged, instead of merely appreciated as is now the case.
  • Existing threads could remain more concise (although they would become much ronerier).
  • Members could post here without regard to coherence, sobriety or even intelligibility.
  • Pages would build up so fast that members would not notice objectionable material.
  • Gratuitous jabs at Terry would not only be allowed, but they would also be encouraged.
  • Members would be relieved of the tedium required for starting new "Terry" threads or exhuming old "Terry" threads.

What say you?  Go team! ;)

Just wanted to cite the origin of this thread, as it's 113 pages in and most of us probably forgot the original post by BS ;D  If I recall, this was directed with subtlety at Snip and myself for chasing each other through the antiquated posts to get our count up ;D ;D  BS, did you ever think it'd go this far?

I didn't think it would go anywhere.  I didn't even post to it until it had already run 5-6 pages and had become quite funny.  However, far be it for me to insinuate that you or snip had anything to do with the start of the thread.  As you well know, I would never impugn the honor of a fellow member.

Its been more than 24 hours and this thread seems to have died.  It's been going for 114 pages!  Hundreds of posts.  Can it really be over?

"Nothing is over until we say it is...  Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?"
"?  Don't stop him, he's on a roll."

As the (relatively) new guy, I feel it must continue.  I have a lot invested here.  After all, I read the entire thread before I posted(102 pages at the time).

Wow, that was a few hours you'll never get back...    :o

I've gone back and edited my first post (#15 I think) and warned all future newbies not to waste their time reading through ALL the posts.

Wanna bet nobody heeds that advice?  ;D

You know why?   We're all a bunch of fence-pissers (as opposed to frisbee sh!tters)...

If you don't get the reference, you'll just have to read the WHOLE thing....

<insert evil laughter here>

Muwahahahahahhhh

And I seem to remember that advice, but it was much like an accident on the side of the road.  You know you shouldn't gawk, but you just can't help yourself.  And it was about 2 &1/2 hours(w/interuptions).

Do you know how hard it is for an old f&rt like me to maintain some level of incoherency?  And I'm currently on vacation at the beach( well, not at the beach right now- I'm too sunburned for that), so try that and then go over to the advice threads and back again.  And you youngsters REALLY need the advice sometimes!  Makes my neck hurt.
