Happy Winter's solstice my fellow heathens... may your days get longer (at least in the northern hemisphere).

Yup. I have the video of the guy painting ours, but it's not digital.  Here is a youtube of a similar guy painting on the streets of Cozumel.

finished polishing my gsxr1000 top tree, strange, it seems to be a "whiter" aluminum, wont buff up to the mirror shine like the lower tree...
anyone have an idea why?

I used my usual method, it just wont come to that chrome shine... like there's a white metal mixed into the aluminum. Magnesium?

I've polished other pieces on the cb750 with the same result, like the drum cover.

different metal composition ,

cast alloy (cast anything technically, but aluminum especially) when it is pored isn't the best mix
(witch is why your suppose to heat up cast alloy before welding it.)

i'd bet your bottom tree was billet

IC, couldn't you fab up a bracket using the lower fork pinch bolts as the mount for the headlight???

possibly, but I was thinking of getting a T plate welded onto the center of the frame and having a fixed headlight.

something like this.

but i think that might put it too far away from the bike and it would look out of place

that could be cool ... but it could also be hideous ...    would be tricky to get it close enough to look good , but far enough to not hit the headlight IMO

i'm interested  ... in case you haven't noticed , i like walkin the fine line between cool and totally stupid
 (not just bikes either  ;D ;D ;D ;D )

It looks good in my head but i'm worried the trees might hit it if it's too close to the frame.

I was thinking turbo intake pipe clamps and some custom brackets.
like this

my problem is the fork tube goes from 50mm to 45mm to 55mm.
