Mickey, that video was awesome.  I was eating popcorn while watching it.  I finally left work at 9pm when people were just starting to show up... two hours late.  I was glad to let some of the madness subside.  It's not the snow I worry about, it's the crazy drivers.  We could look out of the unit onto the Fremont bridge which was a parking lot.  Peoples is crazy out there right now.  Hope you get home safe.  By the way, I've heard tell the best philly cheese steak in the country is way out on Sandy Blvd.  I'll look up the name of the place.

That reminds me of the patient who was found sucking on his pleural drain.  He was always complaining of thirst.

Ha Ha!
That is more entertaining than watching Texas drivers go it in the snow.
Although I think those people in that video were dealing with some ice there- just looked slicker than snow.

Definitely a layer of ice there.  Cars don't slide sideways that kind of distance on just a couple inches of snow.

That video was probably from last year when we got ice in between snow falls.  We are still totally ridiculous out here.             Five inches today brought this city to a stand still.

In Portland they do.  I don't know what it is about Portland drivers and a little snow.  Every time it snowed in that town people would just go stupid and start wrecking the #$%* out everything.

The drive home was quite amusing tonight. No ice, just a little snow on the roads... cars in ditches, up on the sidewalk, into front yards, parked all over creation. 4 of them were bumper into bumper parked on the side of the road at work as we left. I guess they just all gave up and left them sit like that in everyone's way and walked home. What a mess. Over on this side, we got about 3" I think. The plows went through too. It's just amazing how snapped people get over a little snow. It's raining on top of it now, the temps are dropping below freezing tonight again. They all left their windshield wipers down around here. Bad move.

Goon, I haven't been hanging at the bar much of late....didn't realize you guys were in that much trouble. Sorry to hear of it. Even if it is amicable and all it still sucks to hear of a relationship dying. 9 years is a pretty long time....glad to hear at the very least she is handling it pretty well. I am in the same age bracket as you and it seems like everyone I know within 5 years of me (so like 30-40) is going through divorce right now. We all got married pretty young and I guess they are drifting apart or whatever....so far I have been one of the lucky ones I guess!

Spikey, I was just ball busting...I hardly see ANY of my friends lately...I think it is even worse this time of year. Crazy busy with holiday prep etc. Will see a bunch of them tomorrow night as we are hosting a NYE party but it is all kid friendly etc so not exactly the same thing. But punching room mates and eating bacon is ALWAYS a good idea so I'm glad that I inspired you  ;)

I wanted a skateboard when i was a kid and my parents got me one of those fat stupid variflex boards with all the plastic bumpers and one tail... the top had some rad cartoon guy flying through the air on a board.
it said "flyin' bryan on it.   misspelled and lame as #$%*.

all my friends were on cool decks, doin #$%* like this

i did ok for a few years, taring up the Z-town streets.  did some serious damage to my knees from it, now my balance is so off .. i wouldn't attempt to do HALF the tricks i used to

oh and for those who don't get the vids i posted ...

a laserflip= board spins 360 horizontally , while it does a flip vertically.. all done with your back foot

nollie= while riding backwards, or standing opposed to your normal stance

540= the kid threw some extra spins in there
