Hey patrons of the South Side Dive Bar...  swing over and checkout my 'lowbrow' style interior in progress on my old beater:

I haven't really seen anyone do this before.   Just my own tip of the hat to the Kustom Kulture tradition and it makes driving around in a p.o.s more fun.   Leave comments.  I put a zombie head in there!  What other kewl images should I add?

well! I've sold almost my whole front end. only 3 small pieces left.

I'm so close to doing a thread on swapping a gsxr1000 front end to a cb750 it's scary.

Hi IC, i have the GSXR 1100  front end on mine and all i had done was the honda steering stem pressed into the Suzuki clamps and it all bolted straight up....The Honda stem was the same diameter as the Suzi one.

Have you measured the diameter of the suzi neck?, its a shame you had to destroy the Honda clamp to get it out...Are you only modding the front end or is this a new style build?

Mick
what do you mean by neck?

the suzuki pin is 30.5mm at the bottom and 29.8mm at the top.
practically the same as the honda one.  maybe a hundredth of a mm difference.

I don't know what you mean by new style build... I had to cut out the pin because it was welded in at the bottom.  then I'll press out the suzi pin and press in the honda one.

please clarify.

i want to use the cb750 pin and bearings so I don't have to #$%* around with spacers and machined caps.

i think it would be called a 'king pin' by the old terms of automotive suspension.

oh, no- just the front end.
I'm keeping my custom seat and dunstall tank, along with the stretched swingarm and cb900f shocks.

I think it'll really come out looking good and riding really well.  (i'll probably need a steering damper)

my original idea was to put dual discs on the front and be done with it, but then squirley did that 550 and I said "WOW I gotta do that"
I also want to go 18x3.5 in the back with a 140/70/18

it'll still be cafe style, but it'll stand out a little more.

I still have some 76 forks, but I haven't done anything to them, they're ugly but they work perfect...

think I'll polish them up and try to hock them too.
