Thanks for the advice everyone. I'll look for it the next time I'm out at the hardware store. We're trying to get this project and Kit's done before July when we ride down to the oregon Country Faire again. That's hard to do on our kind of budget. Any good ideas to save money and do a good job are a big help. Now I just need to score a big box from work to set up another paint booth.  ;D

I think I "over-medicated" the cats on nip.  :-X

Ya know what I like? Finding out that somewhere along the line, I made an extra car payment. So now it's showing I don't have to pay again until next month. With all the extra OT I got back in Nov, I didn't catch that I'd done that. I'd say that's now $$ for new tires and cables for the '69 scrambler.  ;D

I got off the phone with the bank, just to make sure that I didn't have a payment and 1st thing, Kit looks at me and says... "so time to buy some tires and cables, eh?" Gotta love a woman who thinks like that.  :D I really pity those who have to beg for a few bucks to get what they need to get the bike running. They could have 1000s in the account and she still can't let go of $20 for an air filter. But if the mall is having a shoe sale, she'll go spend $400 and not blink. That is just wrong.  ;D

I don't think I could talk my girlfriend into buying a pair of $400 shoes or buying some for her.
She wouldn't go for it.

I have paid close to that much for a nice pair of Allen Edmunds dress shoes- and before you accuse me of anything I will get 20+ years out of that set of shoes and probably more with a resoleing. They are well made shoes and worth every penny if you ask me.
