how do you define 'real' car?

how do you define 'real' car?

One made of thick metal with beautiful lines and a great deal of character.
most cars from the mid 70's on back I would consider "real" cars.

oh, and a "real" car has a precision engine and/or a nice clean exhaust note... and minimal useless parts.

like this...trading my CBR and 3 grand to my brother...

It aint perfect though and the pic is a couple of years old. Gotta wait a couple of weeks for some stock to sell first so I really hope he doesn't change his mind!!!

It is a 70 Dart Swinger with the 340. I talked him into throwing in the plates for a case of Old Milwaukee King Cans!

Yeah I am hoping that the deal goes through. I can't always rely on my brother. I mean if I needed him he would break someone's legs for me but he isn't always the most reliable you know?

Anyways I have all my fingers and toes crossed too! I know it will need a bunch of work and I won't be able to do it all over night but it will be a work in progress and a really fun toy eventually!

mmkay, so I'm looking to maybe put clubman bars on my 350 just to see what the big deal is all about and why people like them so much.  Is there some unwritten law somewhere saying that you *have* to use rearsets with clubmans, or is that just for tall people (er, people over 5'4") who would probably not be comfortable bent that way?

when you're leaning that far forward your legs press into your belly.
try grabbing your triple tree while you're riding, it's virtually the same body position.

oh, ok, I'll try that, thanks.
I'm just pretty torn between those and lowish superbike bars, not sure which way I'll go yet.
