Yesterday I got pooped on by a bird.

Who hasn't?

Me, thankfully. (Knock on wood)

However I was bitten by a swan. Mean little bastage.

I really hate Mondays. The highlight of my day was having my new cell phone in car kit installed in my company car. Man, I'm looking forward to going home and hitting the workshop! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Only 77 more km and I'll have put 20,000km under Sophies wheels in the two years and two weeks that I have owned her.

I know that chicks like to name their bikes, but, well, for a guy to name his bike Nick, well that's just Uber-Gay! ;D

I'm  not afraid to be in touch with my feminine side.......one of my students this w/e had a Shoie helmet with a gorgeous butterfly motif on it. I would wear a helmet like that, even if the overall theme was in pink.

Let the lambasting begin............... :D

A pink helmet might be better than a bloody (red - a more pronounced shade of pink) head - the next time you scrape the road surface.

Just don't let go of the bike.

ok.  bike naming isn't gay.  Scooters are gay.  The definition would be "a lavender and pink 'Hello Kitty' scooter, w/ such protective gear as tight chaps and aviators." That right there screams it.

I'm not thinking scooters are gay.  Anyone who is willing to get on the road in an under powered, ill handling, death trap we commonly know as a scooter, doesn't really qualify as gay.

Well, unless it's a lavender and pink 'Hello Kitty' scooter, in which case, that's pretty gay.

My bike's name is "Delilah".  I wanted to think of a really powerful, interesting name, but after the way the repair process has mauled my income, naming it after the chick who cut samson's hair seemed fitting. =P

I don't know that it's so odd to give a bike a woman's name, but it would be queer to give it a guy's name. A bike with a guy's name could lead to some queer statements:

"I've been riding Fred all day long. Boy is my @ss sore!"
-or-
"I laid Billy down last night. It wasn't too bad until he rolled over on me"
&tc.

Not to be one to make sense in this thread, but what happened to the "bike name" thread?  I did a search, but...

So, Burma.  How long have you been with owned Fred?

Naming a bike anything, male or female, makes you a fully qualified, chap wearing, gay pride march attending, chardonnay sipping, pole smoking, screaming queer.

Now zip yer lip, get back in the kitchen and get me a full-strength beer, while I read the latest edition of "Scooter News"! ;D

Hey, I named my bike Carl, you know from sling blade.  I don't care how gay it sounds.  I love ridding Carl. My ass sure is sweaty after sitting on Carl for a few hours.  I can hardly walk after ridding Carl for six hours. After a long day with carl I am spent.  The other day I was reaching around Carl grasping for a greasy tool.

Anyone feeling dirty yet? ;D

So since my XT is called 'Gromit', how do claymation dogs fit into this scheme of things?

Change the spelling, and it'll just be named after a small rubber bushing ;D
